Metro Verde is one of the city’s newest developments. It’s located just 2 miles north of Highway 70 off of Sonoma Ranch Boulevard and is part of what is currently Las Cruces’ largest growth corridor. It is a master-planned community covering close to 2,000 acres with plans for commercial, retail, single-family, and multi-family housing. The development meets the National Association of Home Builders standards for a 3-star green certified development, meaning that its design and development are done in a way to minimize negative impact on the environment.
Since Metro Verde is home to some of the city’s newest infrastructure, its residents enjoy new roads and utilities, new parks, new basketball and tennis courts, and new playgrounds for children. Another great benefit to living in Metro Verde is that Red Hawk Golf Course, the city’s newest championship course, is just minutes away and open to the public. There are plans to add a first class clubhouse, recreation center, and pool facility as well. With the recent addition of major retailers close by, you are never far from what you need. You also have easy access to Highway 70 which opens up the rest of the valley to you.
The homes in Metro Verde are moderately priced, just above the current median home price in Las Cruces. They are starting in the high $100’s and run into the mid $200’s. The community features decent-sized lots, some big enough for 3-car garages and some that even have mountain views. Plenty of lots are available for building with several different homebuilders to choose from. There are also a handful of homes standing and ready to move into, and others nearing completion. So, if you think you might be interested in new construction or looking to build a home, Metro Verde is a great place to look.
Closest Hospital: Mountain View Regional Medical Center is less than 15 minutes away.
